7 DAY CULTURAL SAFARI
DAY 1: Transfer to Kampala
You shall be warmly welcomed by our guide at the airport and transferred to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. However, there some activities that may be suggested between time of arrival and dinner, for those who have time and are not fatigued from their flight.
DAY 2: Transfer to Bulange Mengo
Have a hot cup of coffee or whatever you may prefer for breakfast early in the morning and head to the Buganda Parliament also called Bulange, Mengo. This is the building that serves as the administrative Headquarters for the Buganda kingdom.
Have a great glance at the Royal mile that gives quite an interesting experience for photography. Take a visit to Namugongo Martyrs' shrine, which was also visited by Pope Francis on his visit to Uganda in 2015. While there, learn more about the Uganda martyrs, 23 of whom were Anglicans and 22 were Catholics that were executed by Kabaka (King) Mwanga ІІ for their Christian faith.
The deaths took place at the time when there was a three way religious struggle for political influence at the Buganda royal court. Have a mouthwatering lunch and later head to the Bahai temple a place where all religious practices are carried, how? You are welcome to find out more! DAY 3: Transfer to Naggalabi
Have an early morning breakfast and head to Naggalabi coronation site, an official coronation site for all Kings of Buganda. It’s located on Budo hill in Busiro County where the famous Kingdom of Buganda started during the 14th century.
Literally walk in the footsteps of the great kings of Buganda and get to enjoy the feeling of the Royal atmosphere continually feel your body while you learn more about the origin of Buganda Kingdom that has today become the central pride in Uganda. Have lunch and later head to Ndere Centre for a cultural performance. Have dinner and an overnight stay.
DAY 4: Transfer to Jinja
After an early morning breakfast, head East of Uganda on your way, you shall have a stunning view of a tea plantation and later a sugarcane plantation. Make a quick stop over at Najjembe as you approach Mabira forest.
It is a small business Centre harboring men and women selling fast food dispensers of roasted chicken, beef and liver on the stick with sweet plantain (Gonja), soft drinks and some fruits as well as vegetables before your hike (optional).
Head for a 2 hour nature walk have a mouthwatering lunch while enjoying the view of the mighty River Nile. Soak yourself in the beautiful sunset reflecting on the river during your boat cruise at the source of the Nile. Have dinner and an overnight stay.
DAY 5: Transfer to Sipi Falls
After breakfast, you shall head to Sipi Falls in Kapchorwa district (Eastern Uganda) north eastern of Sironko and Mbale. The town looks fantastic since it is located at the foot of Mountain Elgon. During the course of this safari we shall make a stopover in Mbale town for lunch and later continue to Sipi village. Have dinner and an overnight stay.
DAY 6: Drive to Sipi Falls and community visit
Have an early morning breakfast and hike to the incredible Sipi Falls, the trail is a little steep and puzzling as you pass through banana plantations. You shall enjoy a photo moment for those with a camera(s) simply because the falls and the caves under are very beautiful.
Later we shall have a tasty lunch as we enjoy the beautiful atmosphere of the far Eastern part of Uganda and head to the nearing village for a community encounter, get to know more about the local village, culture and the reality about the rural community.
DAY 7: Drive to the airport/ hotel
Have breakfast and head back to Entebbe airport to catch your flight or to the hotel room for an overnight stay and later catch a flight in the morning.
